HPE ProLiant Server Power Supplies
Refurbished HPE ProLiant server power supplies in both of HP's hot-plug designs: Common Slot (CS) units for ProLiant G6, G7 and Gen8, and Flexible Slot (Flex Slot) units for Gen9 through Gen11. Each design comes in Gold, Platinum and Titanium efficiency and in -48VDC versions, and each supply carries an HP or HPE spare or option number to match against the one in your server. Each supply is tested twice in our lab, on intake and before dispatch.

Common Slot or Flex Slot
The server generation decides which design fits. HP's Common Slot technology brief offers CS supplies at 460W, 750W and 1200W and says they fit over 90% of ProLiant G6 and G7/Gen8 servers. HPE's Flexible Slot QuickSpecs describe one shared Flex Slot form factor for ProLiant Gen9 and Gen10 servers, and the DL380 Gen10 Plus and DL380 Gen11 QuickSpecs list Flex Slot supply bays as well.

Input voltage and output
Not every Flex Slot supply runs on 110V. HPE's Flexible Slot QuickSpecs rate the 500W and 800W Platinum supplies at full output from 100V to 240V, while the 1400W Platinum Plus, the 1600W Platinum and the 800W Titanium accept only 200-240V. Efficiency also improves at high line: HPE's 800W Platinum figures run from 88.3 percent at 100V to about 92 percent at 200-240V. -48VDC, 277VAC and 380VDC versions exist for other power feeds.

Checks before you order
HPE states that Gen10 Flex Slot supplies marked Low Halogen are not compatible with Gen9 servers, and that the DL360 and DL380 Gen10 Plus take only the specific 800W and 1600W Flex Slot kits HPE lists for them. HPE also recommends that every supply in a server share the same output and efficiency rating, because mixing can limit or disable features including power redundancy, and it requires 200-240V high-line input for its 1600W Platinum and 800W Titanium Plus Flex Slot units.
