Every 24-core CPU in our Intel Xeon range is on this page, Gold and Platinum models from five Xeon Scalable generations, from the 1st Gen Platinum 8160 to the 5th Gen Gold 6542Y. Because 24 cores come on three different sockets, the table below the product grid sorts them by the PowerEdge generation each one fits: FCLGA3647 for 14th, FCLGA4189 for 15th and FCLGA4677 for 16th. Match the socket before the core count

At the top of the range, Intel ARK rates the Gold 6542Y at 2.9GHz base and 4.1GHz turbo, with three UPI links and DDR5 at up to 5200 MT/s across eight channels. Before ordering a suffix model such as the Platinum 8160F or the Gold 6312U, confirm it on your server's processor support list.
