25GbE Network Adapters for Servers
25GbE network adapters, or 25Gb NICs, give a server 25 Gb/s Ethernet over SFP28 ports, and this page lists dual- and quad-port cards for a PCIe slot or an OCP 3.0 NIC slot from Dell, HPE, NVIDIA Mellanox, Intel, QLogic and Netronome. Most are sold on quote: ask for the part number and bracket height your server needs, or pick a 25GbE card as a network option in our PowerEdge and ProLiant server configurators. Which 25GbE card fits your server
The slot decides the card. A PCIe adapter needs a free slot that takes its bracket, low-profile or full-height as each listing states; an OCP 3.0 adapter needs an OCP NIC slot, which Dell builds into the PowerEdge R650 and R660, among others. Dell lists 2-port and 4-port 25 GbE cards among the R650's OCP 3.0 options.

SFP28 ports take a 25GbE direct-attach cable or an optical module: direct-attach cables include 25GbE SFP28 twinax from Cisco and Dell, and modules are under optical transceivers. Many of these cards also appear under converged network adapters. Dell's R640 carries its built-in networking on a network daughter card in a dedicated slot, and blade cards are under mezzanine adapters.
