Dell Gold High Performance Fan for PowerEdge R750, R7525, R760, R760xs, R7625, XE8545 and XE9680: The Top Cooling Grade
Enterasource is proud to present the Dell 2ND0R, the gold-labelled high-performance cooling fan. Dell's PowerEdge R760 Installation and Service Manual identifies the HPR Gold grade by its gold label, and that is the grade of this part. Gold sits above the silver high-performance grade and above the standard fan, and it is the grade Dell reserves for the configurations that cannot be cooled by anything less.
What the Recorded Platform List Tells You
Our inventory record holds this fan for seven platforms: R750, R7525, R760, R760xs, R7625, XE8545 and XE9680. Read that list carefully, because its shape is informative. It spans Intel and AMD 2U servers and it reaches into XE8545 and XE9680, Dell's accelerator platforms. A GPU-dense chassis pulls the most air of anything in the range, and the top fan grade is the one that appears in those builds.
Fitment Basis, Stated Plainly
The gold grade and its label colour come from Dell's R760 service manual. The seven-platform list above comes from our own inventory record for this part number, not from a Dell compatibility document, and we have not opened the individual service manuals for the other six. If your build is one of those six, confirm the required grade in that platform's own manual before ordering — the grade a configuration needs is a per-configuration answer, not a per-platform one.
Important Notice: this is one hot-swap cooling fan. Gold and silver high-performance fans are different parts with different Dell part numbers, and the gold label is how you tell them apart on the bench. Every fan we list is checked before it leaves us, under the Enterasource warranty published on this page.
