Dell High Performance Gold Fan for PowerEdge R650, R6525, R660 and R6625: 1U Cooling at the Top of the Ladder
Enterasource is proud to present the Dell 3JYGF, recorded as the High Performance gold-labelled fan for four 1U PowerEdge platforms. Dell grades its cooling fans and marks the grade on the label; gold is the top of that scheme. A 1U chassis has roughly half the frontal area of a 2U for the same socket count, so the highest fan grade appears in 1U builds sooner and more often than it does in taller machines.
The Platform List Crosses Both Silicon Lines
Our record holds this fan for the R650 and R660 (Intel) and for the R6525 and R6625 (AMD), which is to say both processor lines and two adjacent generations of Dell's 1U dual-socket chassis. That is a wide recorded fitment for a cooling part and it is worth verifying against your own machine rather than assuming it.
Fitment Basis
The four-platform list above is our own inventory record, not a Dell compatibility document. The grade a specific configuration requires is decided in the thermal restriction section of that platform's Installation and Service Manual, and processor thermal-design power is the usual reason a build moves up a grade.
