Dell PowerEdge R760xa Fan: The Accelerator Chassis Takes Its Own Part
Enterasource is proud to present the Dell KT4W3, a cooling fan recorded for the PowerEdge R760xa. The R760xa is the accelerator-optimised member of the R760 family: the internal layout is rearranged around GPU real estate, and the cooling design is rearranged with it. That is why it carries its own fan part number rather than sharing the base R760's.
R760xa Is Not R760, and the Distinction Is the Point
The R760, R760xs and R760xa share a naming root and very little else internally. Our record holds this fan for the R760xa alone. It does not fit the other two by implication, and we make no such implication. If your machine is a base R760 or an R760xs, the correct fan is a different Dell part number — including, for the base R760, the graded silver and gold high-performance fans listed separately.
What Our Record Does Not Say
Our inventory record does not state a cooling grade for this part. It is recorded simply as the R760xa fan, and we are not going to assign it a grade it was not recorded with. Dell's R760xa Installation and Service Manual is where a specific configuration's cooling requirement is established.
Important Notice: this is one fan, not a fan cage or a set. Each fan is checked before it ships, under the Enterasource warranty shown on this page.
