HPE ProLiant DL360p Gen8 Fan: Do Not Drop the Letter
Enterasource is proud to present the HPE 654752-003, a cooling fan recorded for the ProLiant DL360p Gen8. The letter after the model number is part of the fitment, and it is the first thing lost when a part is searched for or written down in a hurry.
Gen8 DL360 Was Not One Machine
HPE used variant letters on its Gen8 DL line to distinguish machines that shared a model number and did not share their internals. Our record names the DL360p specifically. It does not extend to the other Gen8 DL360 variants, and we are not going to extend it, because a fan is a connector, a housing and a set of mounting features and any of the three can differ between variants of one model number.
How to Check
The full model designation is on the machine's own label, letter included. Read it from there rather than from a purchase record or an asset register, both of which routinely record the model number without the variant. Where the fan is being replaced, the part number on the failed unit is the fastest confirmation available.
Important Notice: one fan module, from our inventory record's fitment for the DL360p Gen8. Checked prior to dispatch and supplied with the Enterasource warranty described on this page.
