Standard, With a High-Performance Counterpart
HPE ships more than one cooling option for these 2U Gen11 machines. This kit is the standard one. Builds with higher-power processors, additional rear hardware or accelerators can require the high-performance kit outright, and the standard kit is not a substitute in that direction. The reverse is not a fault. Confirm the requirement against your configuration in HPE's Maintenance and Service Guide for the model rather than against the DL3x5 shorthand, which spans several machines.
Why the Public Lookup Comes Back Empty
This is a recent HPE spare number, and that particular class is a known gap in HPE's public parts catalogue — several numbers in the same range return no record at all. It is a coverage property of the catalogue rather than evidence that the part is misidentified or obsolete. Where HPE's own data is decisive for you, the orderable option kit numbers for these machines do resolve, and that is the number to search on.
