960GB Enterprise SSDs
Shop 960GB SSD models in every interface a server uses: SATA 6Gb/s, SAS 12Gb/s and NVMe enterprise drives side by side, as 2.5-inch drives plus M.2 and U.2 NVMe. They include the Dell XMWMK (Micron) and YDHYX (Samsung) SATA drives, the Dell R1ND2 and 7DGDM SAS drives and the Dell DRC9H and WR2FG NVMe drives. Why 960GB and not 1TB
Enterprise SSDs hold part of their flash back from the user. Seagate describes over-provisioning as setting aside a section of an SSD's capacity that the user cannot access, and says it raises endurance through better wear leveling. Micron's 7450 family lists two capacity sets: 7450 PRO drives rated at one drive write per day include 960GB, 1.92TB and 3.84TB, while 7450 MAX drives rated at three include 800GB, 1.6TB and 3.2TB.
| Interface | Form factors here | 960GB drives, with each maker's model |
|---|---|---|
| SATA 6Gb/s | 2.5-inch; one 3.5-inch carrier model | Dell XMWMK (Micron MTFDDAK960TDT), Dell YDHYX (Samsung MZ7KH960HAJR0D3), Dell 2RYFG, Micron 5100 PRO MTFDDAK960TCB, Toshiba THNSN8960PCSE, HPE P02761-003 |
| SAS 12Gb/s | 2.5-inch | Dell R1ND2 (Samsung MZILT960HAHQ0D3), Dell 7DGDM (HGST HUSTR7696ASS200, ISE), Dell K74WN (Samsung MZ-ILT960C), Dell WFGTH (KIOXIA KPM5XVUG960G) |
| NVMe | 2.5-inch U.2 and M.2 22110 | Dell DRC9H (KIOXIA KCD5XLUG960G), Dell WR2FG (SK hynix HFS960GECTX088N), Samsung MZ-1L29600 and LITE-ON EPX-KW960 (both M.2 22110) |
Match the interface to your controller or NVMe bays, and check the endurance rating on each listing, which our articles on SSD endurance classes and DWPD vs TBW explain. An M.2 22110 drive needs a slot that takes the 22110 size.
Compare 800GB, 1.92TB and 3.84TB SSDs or U.2 NVMe SSDs, or shop SATA, SAS, NVMe and M.2 SSDs among our enterprise SSDs. Check the Enterasource warranty term on each listing.
