Cooling is a per-rotor story here rather than a fan-kit story, and HPE spells it out. Single-rotor hot-plug fans are fitted by default, an optional High Performance Fan Kit brings the count to seven, and the server supports up to seven fans with redundancy built in. One rotor failure leaves the server degraded but fully functional; two produce a warning and an imminent shutdown. On a second-hand 1U server that reads as a purchasing instruction: confirm the fan count and fan state before the unit goes into a rack.

The DL360 Gen10 Plus carries the same 32 DIMM slots as its 2U sibling - sixteen per processor, eight channels per processor, two DIMMs per channel - reaching 8.0 TB with thirty-two 256 GB load-reduced modules at 3200 MT/s or 2.0 TB with thirty-two 64 GB registered modules. Persistent memory reaches 8.0 TB as well, and the shape of that figure is what gets misquoted: it is sixteen 512 GB modules, not thirty-two, because persistent memory takes one slot per channel.

The population rules are the 3rd generation Xeon Scalable set and bind exactly as on the 2U model: modules installed only alongside their own processor, a single processor leaving half the slots unusable, modules balanced across both processors where fitted, and no mixing of unbuffered, registered and load-reduced types. The DL360 Gen10 Plus offers two PCIe slots from the first processor and a third from the second, and which riser is chosen changes what those slots are worth. The GPU riser gives slot one sixteen electrical lanes at full height and slot two sixteen lanes low-profile. The boot riser carrying the NS204i-r device, and the NVMe riser, both keep slot one at sixteen lanes but drop slot two to eight.

A single-processor DL360 Gen10 Plus therefore has two slots in total, and one may already be halved by the boot riser. Storage controllers run from the no-cache Smart Array E208i-a in low-halogen form, 869079-B21, through the 2 GB P408i-a at 869081-B21 and the 4 GB P816i-a at 869083-B21, to the Tri-Mode MR216i-a P26325-B21, MR416i-a P26279-B21 and the Microchip SmartRAID SR416i-a P12688-B21.
Two networking notes from the QuickSpecs are worth carrying because no reseller page states them. HPE prints, verbatim, that none of the listed adapters support PXE boot, and that none can be used to fulfil factory diagnostics requirements - an alternate adapter must be selected for that. Separately, every hundred-gigabit adapter requires the High Performance Fan Kit P26477-B21, which makes a high-speed network build a cooling decision as well as a slot decision.

Seven Flex Slot power supplies are documented and mixing two different supplies is not allowed, so redundancy means two identical parts. Pre-configured models ship with a single supply, which is the detail to check on any unit bought as a pair-ready chassis. Two carry high-line restrictions: the 800 W Titanium supports 200 to 240 VAC only, and the 1600 W supply is high-line only as well.

Read across that table and the Gen10 Plus is the odd one out in a useful way: it is the only one of the three that lost a chassis option relative to its predecessor.
