AMD EPYC 7002 Series (Rome) Processors
AMD EPYC 7002 Series processors, the 2nd Gen EPYC family known as Rome, are socket SP3 server CPUs with 8 to 64 cores, and every model has eight channels of DDR4-3200 and 128 lanes of PCIe 4.0, per AMD's specifications. This page lists the series from the 8-core EPYC 7262 and 7F32 to the 64-core 7702P and 7742, for single-socket PowerEdge R6515 and R7515 and two-socket R6525 and R7525 servers. Each EPYC CPU is lab-tested on arrival and before shipping, and each carries an Enterasource warranty.

A P suffix means single-socket only
AMD lists the EPYC 7232P, 7302P, 7402P, 7502P and 7702P as 1P parts, while the 7002 models without a P support one or two sockets. Put P models in single-socket servers such as the PowerEdge R6515 and R7515, which Dell builds for one EPYC 7002 or 7003 processor; a two-socket R6525 or R7525 needs non-P models in both sockets.

Dell-locked and HPE-locked listings
Some listings are marked Dell Locked or HPE Locked. Dell's support article on Platform Secure Boot says that enabling it permanently fuses an EPYC processor to work only on Dell platforms, so a Dell-locked CPU belongs in a PowerEdge; match any locked listing to your server brand before ordering.
